I think it speaks volumes that the term disintermediated isn’t in the Microsoft Word dictionary on my machine. Presumably they would prefer that move in the game of business not be included in the game set they provide to their customers.

This conspircy runs deeper than I thought. The word is not in the OED. Hm.
