		<description>Diversity is a metric, the slope on the power-law curve, and things happen depending.  But you can&#039;t have it both ways; if the network reduces diversity it is a dangerous delusion to say otherwise.</description>

		<description>Is reduced diversity inherently a bad thing? It seems that, especially in the case of tools and books, growing a shared culture around a small set of shared tools and books is better than having endless diversity.

I do worry about the intermediaries secretly influencing the market for their own monetary gain, but if it&#039;s done in public, I&#039;d think that reduced diversity is not inherently bad.</description>
