		<description>the bad unicode support in emacs has been the reason why I have been using it less and less lately. Unicode is about being able to write something as simple as this sentence:

圣诞快乐和一新年好2005 年

which is Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2005 + my complete name. i.e., about mixing several character sets in the same document.

This king of things works trivially in any java code, in python if started with LC_CTYPE=utf8, in OpenOffice, even echo in bash can handle it. Your page, unless something filters it badly, will handle it...

but emacs can't save it to a text file without resorting to a proprietary encoding. They have been losing the train for too much time.</description>
